2014 Match 4 versus Theo Wirth

On Sunday, August 3rd, the team put together a strong effort to finish off the season in a new direction. After losing the first three matches without getting into double digit points, we put together a good solid outing. Anchored by two teams that had players in the sub-par rounds, the team was able to garner 16 out of the 24 points, 16-8.

Saturday 8/2 Game

The game for Saturday morning will be flighted low net. We will split the group into 3 flights based on handicaps, with price payouts for the following:

4 or less per flight

First place only

5-8 per flight

1st and 2nd (First place will get the majority)

8 or more

3 places

First Competitor into the Final of the Match Play

Jake M. was able to defeat Josh V 2&1 on a good match on Monday afternoon. The conditions were good with a wind out of the northwest. It all came down to a few mistakes by each competitor with Jake making fewer mistakes, and overall a solid round. Jake absolutely dominated play on the back 9. Winning 5 of the 8 holes played.

Jake will play the winner of the match between Chris S. and John S.

Saturday 7/26 Event

A gorgeous morning for golf on Saturday 7/26. Party sunny skies, with virtually no wind to speak of. We had a successful turnout of 13 players, 4 from the "breakfast club" and 9 more a little bit later. A big welcome to Brett to the tee times! We played two events, a low Net individual scoring, with Mike and Tom taking care of business getting a first place tie. Marty won 3rd in a score card playoff against David.

In the skins game Marty took home 3 skins with birdies on 3, 11, and 12. Can't believe that no one tied him on 12!!! Josh took home 2 skins with a birdie on 4 (putt from off the green) and an eagle on 9. Randy and Doron both birdied 9, cancelling each other out in the same group. The other honorable mention birdies goes to David and Guy on 13, with Guy earning a beverage for his efforts. David - you'll still get one too.
